Judy Garland - Embraceable You - Deleted Line - Girl Crazy - Stereo

Judy Garland sings this great Ralph Blaine/Hugh Martin arrangement of George Gershwin's "Embraceable You" from the 1942 film "Girl Crazy."

I've replaced the film soundtrack with true stereo from the CD, and added the deleted opening line sung by the male chorus (apparently an insider joke about the recent copyright claims placed on "Happy Birthday").

Priceless to have Judy playing a character named Ginger and dancing like Ginger Rogers! Wonderful job she does here, too! She does a grown up job and then some. It's a pity she didn't get the care and support her fabulous talent deserved. If she had, we'd have a lot more work like this, and in color!

This is a lovely rendition by Judy of this classic Gershwin song (but then everything Judy sang was flawless). The up-tempo dance arrangement that follows her vocal is fun, too. Great to watch it with a stereo soundtrack. Thanks, Mark!
