Thank you so much Mark - I first heard the Debbie Reynolds & Ava Gardner tracks on www.spotify.com (free music data-base). On the "Easy to Love" track Eleanor Powell's voice is dubbed by Marjorie Lane. Now I wonder if the sountrack of her (Eleanor Powell's) voice is still around.

Mark - these are fantastic! Ava's own voice is so much more suited to the character. In fact, on the soundtrack CD, I never listen to the dubbed versions, just hers! :)

And of course, the Judy clips are great! Thanks again for doing all of this.

Ava Gardner, had so much talent, I am so glad that someone managed to put her voice in sinc with the movie Showboat. I searched for the origional album for along time, about 15 years ago a friend bout it for me online. When I heard her voice it was so hypnotic; I can understand her frustrations of mot having her voice heard in the movie. Only Mayer @ MGM was to blame, he wanted everthing perfect. When I watch the movie Showboat; I srill don't know why they dubbed her voice.. not only was the voice operetic, oit was out of charcter and seemed out of place. Fortunately we have the album, Ava worked hard, and she just glowes in her performances. I think she could have made some of her own albums. She was simply the most beautiful person, if her voice wasn't dubbed I am sure she would have won the oscar that year in which she was nominated as best supporting actress. Love tLove Ava!! D.M.

Just happened to stumble on your Judy Garland videos this a.m.--JG was a great favorite of my mother's--what a lovely blast from the past. "Embraceable You" is a real charmer. Thank you. Now I'll go enjoy some of your other videos!
